There is an opportunity for students to study for an MPhil degree. This is a two year Masters by research. Prospective students should note that ARC does not provide funding or studentships for MPhil degrees. Hence MPhil students require funding to cover the University fees and living expenses - details of the fees are available on the QUB postgraduate student website. Note that we are classed as FR2, and you should read the eligibility criteria for home and international students.. The recruitment procedure will be the same as for PhD students - the application deadline will be 10th February 2017. Students should apply through the University postgraduate portal.
Students should have a minimum of a 2.1 Honours degree in a suitable subject, and the student must demonstrate (during interview) that they are academically capable of carrying out a research degree.
The projects available will be similar to those offered for PhD - students should check the links for PhD projects and look for when the project notes “Suitable for MPhil project - a similar project is available for suitably qualified MPhil students.” Queries should be directed toward the supervisors directly.
Please note that Queen's University will not accept applications that do not follow the required procedures.
