The Course is free to UKRI STFC-sponsored and self-supporting postgraduate students on a first-come, first-served basis. This includes: tuition, accommodation, tea/coffee breaks, lunches, a welcome pack and welcome reception, Course Dinner and a bus tour of Belfast City. UKRI STFC-sponsored and self-supporting students can claim their travelling expenses and costs of evening meals (apart from the Course Dinner) from UKRI STFC (see below).
Self-supporting students should contact the Course Director, Francis Keenan, at email@example.com with details of their circumstances before registration.
Postgraduate students sponsored by bodies other than UKRI STFC, but who meet UKRI STFC’s residence requirements for eligibility for an UKRI STFC studentship, may attend tuition-free. The UKRI STFC residence requirements may be found on page 13 of the document available here. However, they or their sponsor will need to meet local expenses (accommodation and meals) as detailed in the Registration link. Similarly, postgraduate students who are employees of UK academic institutes (including postdoctoral researchers on fixed-term contracts) may attend tuition-free, but their employing institution will need to cover their local expenses.
Other postgraduate students and attendees will be required to pay full fees.
UKRI STFC-sponsored postgraduate students and self-supporting students can claim their reasonable travel and meals expenses directly from UKRI STFC using the form available here. Completed forms should be returned, along with relevant original receipts, to:
